TJL enjoys a post-modern, neotenous and bright Y2k inspired visual language that references art-history in her mixed media work. She has been commissioned to create looping materials, promotional visuals, gifs, short form videography, pod-casts, sound-design, and original music for artists and companies in the USA. She also produces digital, videography, and web-based works as a member of the Drone Dolores Collaborative.

Drone dolores collaborative
The Drone Dolores Collaborative is a multimedia group and publishing company comprised of artist Tracy Jonsson-Laboy and multimedia producer Angel Jonsson-Laboy. The Collaborative answer to requests for commissions, have produced works as part of residencies and creative collaborations with other artists, and create and publish their own music and works.
The Collaborative has experience in short form videography, sound design, original music, performances, after effects, filming, and editing new media projects.
Each member of the collaborative have their individual musical practice, which assists in the making of long and short form story telling and sound-design projects. Current members are part of music projects named Drone Dolores and Incorporeal Apparatus.

The Drone Dolores Collaborative has been producing short-form videography projects since 2019. All samples are written, performed, filmed, and edited by members of the collaborative, including original music, foley and sound design. All post production is done in house.
The Collaborative also creates performance work at the intersection of art and technology.

The Drone Dolores Collaborative was invited to record a Covid-19 diary on 8 millimeter film. A dystopian futurism journey starts in 2032, and what happened in after the Recurring-Pandemic Period is explored.

Old Noise, New Space
2020
This work was included in a socially distant selection of performances about journeys, migration, and magical realism as part of the Wilbury Group produced Decameron at Providence’s WaterFire Arts Center. Drone Dolores Collaborative created a piece titled “Old Noise, New Space” performed at the Stage Two, East of the Decameron complex on August 22nd, 2020, produced by Shey Rivera. <br> The mixed-media performance, featuring programmed fruit-instruments, explored the subliminal and unconscious biases absorbed through main-stream media consumption, with a focus on 1950’s-1980s television sitcoms. A quick journey through eighteen American sit-coms (brought into the project by way of a theme-song-sound-journey) was elaborated on by transposed moving graphical art commentary on a staged computer screen and a performance piece written, directed, and performed by the members of the Drone Dolores Collaborative.

The Moral Documents or MoralDocs is a transmedia art project and virtual reality film that re-envisions public safety as an issue of public health. Residents of the City of Providence have brought their lived experience into this collaborative Afrofuturist story that envisions an abolitionist future for the City of Providence. In this story, we travel to the Temple of Music in 2040 via a space/time chariot to witness the first graduating class of Community Health Justice. Created and presented by Vatic Kuumba and Shey Rivera Ríos.
Provided sound design and original scoring for six individual episodes.
